Dr. Charles Hill ‘s current ministry includes senior pastor of Norton Memorial Temple COGIC; District Superintendent for the Texas Gulf Coast Houston City district; member of the Texas Gulf Coast Ordination Committee; Jurisdictional Secretary, Financial Secretary & Executive member of the General Council Pastors & Elders; and Trustee for the C. H. Mason Seminary in Atlanta, Georgia. Pastor Hill also has over thirty years’ experience in accounting and auditing; working in areas of governmental and nonprofit accounting as well as internal auditing. Since 1998, Dr. Hill has worked as the Internal Audit Manager for the Houston-Galveston Area Council of Governments. 

 

Dr. Hill is a dedicated COGIC leader and has served in national as well as various leadership positions in jurisdictions in Texas and Louisiana. Some of his past jurisdictional positions include local Pastor, Budget Director, District Superintendent, Election Chairman, Co-Education Chair, Bible College instructor, Ordination Committee member, Jurisdictional Secretary, and Jurisdictional AIM Chairman. Currently, Dr. Hill serves under the leadership of jurisdictional prelate, Bishop Destry C. Bell in the Texas Gulf Coast Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction.

                       

Pastor Hill received a BBA in accounting from University of Houston. He also has professional licensures as a certified public accountant (CPA), a certified internal auditor (CIA), and a chartered global management accountant (CGMA).  He received a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) from the Houston Graduate School of Theology.  He completed a Doctor of Ministry degree (D.Min.) from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary in Springfield, Missouri.

           

Pastor Charles Hill and his wife, Missionary Yolanda Hill are third-generation COGIC members. They have been married over 35 years and have four adult children - two sons (Jason, wife – Deria, and Jonathan), one daughter (Jessica), and three grandchildren
